ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø remembers Dr Guillermo Rivero, a dedicated oral health advocate and leader whose work made a lasting contribution to oral health in Argentina and beyond.
ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø World Dental Federation (ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø) is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Guillermo Rivero. Throughout his career, Dr Rivero promoted oral health locally, regionally, and globally, and stood out as a passionate oral health advocate whose dedication contributed to a world with optimal oral health.
Apart from his recent appointment to Presidency of the ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø Latin American Regional Organization (LARO), ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø appreciated working with Dr Rivero in his capacity of Secretary General of the Confederación Odontológicade la República Argentina (CORA), our valued member.
He helped strengthen the oral health community in Argentina through committed leadership and collaboration. He was a regular representative of CORA at the ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø General Assemblies and a very dear friend to many across the ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø community.
Dr Rivero’s impact extended beyond Latin America. He was instrumental in co-organizing the ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø World Dental Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2018, which welcomed nearly 8,000 participants from around the globe. He was helping bring together colleagues and experts from around the world to support scientific exchange and further promote oral health.
ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø honours his legacy and is grateful for the lasting contribution he made to oral health.
